	Spring Step Vermont Smaller shaft than expected March 07, 2013 Reviewer: Barb from Chicago Love the look and the fact that these boots are waterproof leather. They have a nice fuzzy lining to keep feet warm, but they do fit a bit snug in the width and the shaft size is definitely not as posted. It is noted that the circumference is 16" (in my size) but these are only about 13" so the fit was very snug at the top. The stretch portion isn't enough to even make 16". After walking in them for some distance, the footbed is not very cushioned to the point of rather firm. Hoping they'll break in a bit. So if you're depending on a bit wider shaft to either tuck or for comfort - use caution. For someone with average calves they would be great and would definitely get for warmth and waterproof walking. Wears this shoe: Winter commute
