The shoes are well made, sturdy, and perfect for what we needed them for. They are a great combination between boot and regular shoe and can be used for wide range of activity. It was designed for working with horses and is good for light farm use. We did sub the insole out for a specialized one that my husband uses in all his shoes. He uses the shoe for everyday use, out in the fields, trips to town, and motorcycle riding. The only draw back we have found is that due to the fact the shoe is water proof it is warmer than it would be otherwise and not as breathable.

Carhartt CMH6100 6" Bal Work Boot Still Evaluating

I purchased the Carhartt CMW8100 8" Work Boot in October and loved them as soon as I put them on, but, they didn't hold up to their "chemical resistant" rating and the soles on both boots completely split within 3 months. So, I ordered Carhartt CMH6100 6" Bal Work Boot as their replacement. So far, I'm extremely happy with them but I'm still waiting to see if they hold up any better than the first pair.
