The main front pocket literally started coming apart from the rest of the bag. I contacted Trager and they told me to send it in for repair/replacement. I sent the bag to them. Then I never heard from them again. I emailed them and contacted them through their website and left voicemails and no one responded. I thought maybe they had gone out of business. I even contacted the Better Business Bureau, who contacted them for me. But still they wouldn't respond. I'm pretty frustrated with thes company. They say on their website they give a lifetime guarantee, but good luck trying to use it.

I've been purchasing this style backpack for the past 7+ years (having bought 4 of these backpacks). I have noticed that the quality of the materials (zippers, straps, nylon, etc.) has been getting worse over the years. It's still a good backpack that is not too bulky and yet can hold many things. However, this past purchase, the zippers are very "sticky", and I can't seem to fit as much in the front small zippered pocket as my previous backpack. This is a great choice for traveling as well as mothers of young children.
baggallini MES160 Messenger Bagg Great Design; Iffy Execution

This is a wonderfully designed bag - great layout for compartments/pockets. It holds a LOT while still keeping everything organized. I also find the strap cuts into my neck, and I wish the design made it possible to wear over either shoulder (its designed to be worn right shoulder to left hip only). My chief complaint is with the zipper attachment - I've owned two, and the zippers have separated from the bag after about a year. The first time, the bag was still under warranty, so Bagallini replaced it for "free" ($5 shipping fee). Same thing happened again on the replacement bag, but this time, the warranty replacement option isn't available. I'm buying a third one since its so functional, but wish they'd get the zippers right!
