I own one other pair of Saucony shoes so I decided to give these a shot without knowing how they'd workout. I had read several reviews and most were very favorable. Wow, I'm glad I bought these. I did not buy these to run in. I'm sure they could serve that purpose, but I bought these as casual shoes. They are extremely comfortable and a fair price. I can't ask for much else, but my last two pairs of shoes I have bought have been Saucony and my 3rd pair will come sooner than later.

I am very picky when it comes to shoes. My feet are claustrophobic in a sense so I have to have a wide, comfortable shoe. I also prefer basic colors vs. loud, gaudy colors. This Saucony shoe has everything that I desire in a shoe. Once I tried a pair and liked it, I bought 4 more pair just like it. I am very happy with these shoes and hope this style will be around for a while.

The shoe doesn't bend or give so trying to fit a toddlers foot in it is an extremely hard task. We've had other Keen Newports that weren't nearly as tough and had no issues getting feet in.

New Balance MO1099 The MO 1099 is difficult to get on

I find the MO 1099 difficult to get on because where the opening at the top of the shoe is too tight for my instep to fit through easily. Once you struggle to get it on if feels alright around the foot. The size and width are OK but if you tie the ankle laces tight the shoe hurts my ankle. I tried to tie them looser and it seems to work better for me. They seem to be well made but a lot of work to get on. I've not tried them in the woods yet.
