Firstly - these are extremely comfortable.I typically wear a 10.5-11, but I get these in 9M. My toes go all the way to the edge of the shoe, but it's still comfortable. The canvas is very lenient, and ordering them a size smaller than expected is the only way I have found to keep the heel from sliding everywhere.The shoe is slightly wider than average, between a D and a 2E. I think it's perfect. There is little to no support, and the arch is fairly flat, but they break in in no time. The shoe ends up conforming to your foot within a day, problem solved.The black is definitely black, and it almost looks like an extremely dark brown (probably a mindgame from the khaki sole).I would recommend these. They do get a bit tacky/swampy in the heat, but they breathe fairly well, and the insole is a breeze to slide out to clean.

This is the first pair of Grasshoppers I have purchased. I needed a pair of taupe summer sneaker shoes, and this was the only pair I could find. So far they seem to be just fine. I'll know more by the end of the summer.
