It is difficult to find hard-bottom walkers because of new pediatric recommendations. These high-top shoes provided the ankle support that my grandson needed. The soles are a bit glossy/slick, so I had to sand slightly. Now he is practically running. Very sturdy. They are standing up to scuff marks and wear.

The shoes are for my daughter, she likes the roomier toe finds them comfortable., but there is a great deal of space right by the foot. The Mary jane style allows me to stick my fingers in by her toes.

These shoes are great! So stylish they'll go anywhere, I want a pair in my size. Easy on and off and don't trap sand/dirt like his last pair of Merrells. No doubt the coolest pair of shoes I've ever seen on a 3 y/o.

My son has a wide foot and we have problems finding a comfortable fit. He also hates the "break in" process as he usually ends up with blisters on his heels. These shoes are soft leather and very stylish.
